Yo recomiendo este libro a todas esas personas que han pensado que están mal en tantas cosas de su vida. Específicamente en una relación en la que tu pareja dice que te ama pero te hace sentir tan vacía, triste, sola, y hasta te afecta psicológicamente al punto de no poder funcionar. Recomiendo este libro a quienes tienen situaciones con su familia, su madre/padre, asuntos relacionados a su trabajo, y todo tipo de interacción que se hace con otro ser humano. Cuando estás con dudas, confundido y tu mente te atormenta pensando si estás o no tomando la desición correcta, pero sobre todas las cosas si estás consciente de que existe DIOS y que él quiere lo mejor para todos nosotros. Los límites son importantes, tenerlos y respetarlos, este libro todos deberían leerlo. (Las cuatro estrellas son por que tiene algunos errores de ortografía y gramático, algo mínimo pero lo hay). Pero este libro es MAGNÍFICO, wow. Por favor, cómpralo y leelo.

Este libro es excelente! La primera vez que supe de este libro fue en la versión original en inglés y cuando lo vi en español, que es mi idioma nativo, supe que ya no había excusa para no comprarlo. Al principio hace hincapié en las citas bíblicas en las que se basa el libro, pero a medida que se avanza los autores hacen unos análisis detallados y profundos de cada cosa que puede surgir en el camino hasta alcanzar el desarrollo de unos límites sanos. Muchios de ellos son confrontados para bien o para mal con las citas bíblicas. Al terminar de leer el libro se siente una extraña y agradable sensación de fortaleza y mucha claridad con respecto al tema. El único punto que creo que se debió desarrollar con mas detalle es el que se refiere al principio de la sumisión de la mujer; sin embargo, lo poco que menciona, lo hace de manera justa para el hombre y la mujer. Es casi inevitable comenzar a poner límites inmediatamente.

Excelente libro, como puede ser que en dos simples palabras haya tanto, en el Sí y el No, aborda todas las áreas de la vida, es fácil poder identificarse en mas de un caso, me ha ayudado a identificar las áreas en las cuales tengo que poner límites, totalmente recomendado!

Este libro es para todos ustedes que alguna vez han sentido que todos se aprovechan de tu persona, y sientes que no puedes defenderte por querer ser un Buen cristiano. Tacolicious by Sara Deseran promised to contain festive recipes for tacos, snacks, cocktails and more. The pictures look delicious. The ideas sound fabulous. But the recipes seem too difficult and the ingredients too bizarre for the average home cook. For the "foodies" out there, this is the perfect book for you to challenge your pallet and your kitchen skills. For those of us hoping to only add a little zing to family taco night, you might want to look elsewhere.The hardback book was filled with yummy looking colorful pictures. I also like the fact that it didn't have a dust jacket, like most hard back cookbooks. I find that my cookbooks get messy in the kitchen - the dust jacket is usually the first thing to get thrown out, and I am left with an ugly plain book. That is not the case with Tacolicious. The fun image on the front of the book is printed directly on the canvas cover.I received this book from the Blogging for Books program in exchange for this review.

We made 7 recipes and everything was delicious. We made Mama Virginia's Chile Verde Taco - delicious and a husband favorite; Frijoles Borrachos - sooo good!; Legendary Orange Sauce - a must do!; Roasted Tomato-Mint Salsa - different and refreshing; Cebollitas - they came out tough - won't make again to eat whole as they recommend - we chopped them to sprinkle on the tacos; Three-chile Bistec adobado taco w/cebollitas - I suggest using a fattier meat - flank steak was tough. I also suspect using a fattier cut (chuck maybe?) the wonderful chile paste would penetrate the meat better. We marinated over-night and there was not the expected flavor. AND let's not forget the Tacolicious Margaritas - Bueno! This book will not disappoint!!! A winner!

I grew up in San Antonio, TX where tequila is in our water supply and we ate bean and cheese tacos when we had the flu. I know a thing or two about good tacos. When we moved to San Francisco, I had a bit of an obsession about learning to make the tacos I grew up with. We went to several highly recommended taquerias before discovering Tacolicious and Primavera (at the Saturday Farmer's Market and El Molino in Sonoma).I was sceptical when I saw a tacolicious cookbook, but decided to give it a try. That fabulous taco does not always translate EASILY to your dinner table. The recipes are practical and easy to make. Tacolicious Cookbook is a strong recommendation.

Very attractive book, has great pics and the recipes so far have been really good. I have made a couple of the salsas and tacos and all have been great. The Tamarind Habanero glaze was good both on ribs and chicken wings. I found it's also a great book to get introduced to using dried chiles, including common types of chiles. I am now stocked up so I can make most recipes in the book without having to hunt down the chiles first. Definitely worth the money in my opinion.

This book offers generations of wisdom in technique and mastery of Mexican cuisine. This book offers a great collection of top-notch salsas, slaws, and side dishes. The recipes are very well balanced and are obviously culminated over many generations. I have been working to master Mexican cooking over the past few years. Of the many books that I've studied, this has been one of the most beneficial. If you're looking for a really good place to start or taking it to the next level, you can't go wrong with this book. It's in my library for keeps!

I suppose I am a bit biased given my obsession with the Tacolicious restaurants, but I found this cookbook to be extremely useful and easy to follow. It is very satisfying being able to make my favorite tacos and side dishes at home!

I love this book. And it's not just tacos!! There are drinks and sides as well as some spice mix recipes. It would definitely make a good housewarming gift.

I will prepare many recipes from this interesting cookbook but not with any chile hotter than a poblano. The harsh hot peppers give me too juch distress so I trust that the flavors come from a skillfull combination of fresh ingredients instead of heat

I bought this book as a gift for Christmas. I was able just look at it for a bit . Nice recipes and not too difficult to prepare. I may have to buy one for me

Chapter 2 tells you all the important facts about the transmission, while Chapter 5 explains how to prevent an infection! If you aren't sure if you already have Hep C, the typical symptoms are explained in Chapter 3. It really helps you to spot the symptoms early.All in all, this is a great book on the subject and can only be recommended!!

I enjoyed this book overall. Billy Graham spent his life around the Bible so I figured he would write something that based on his understanding of what was actually written in the Bible. Graham writes honestly he has never seen an angel himself, but he believes in them because they are in the Bible. This book is written in an easy to read and relate to style. Graham reminds us that angels are not all fluffy and sweet as they are often portrayed in television shows and new age style books. Overall it seemed a fair and balanced representation for the layman and I appreciated it's balanced portrayal of the angels.

When I had questions about the nature and role of angels, my search led me to this book, written by none other than Billy Graham. The book covers many of the angels in the Bible. Originally written and published in the 1970s, when interest in demons and exorcisms and occult practices seemed to proliferate as never before, Dr. Graham wrote in response to his own need. Finding few books on the subject or angels both good and bad, he undertook the task of writing one.He delves thoroughly enough in this short work. Yes, each chapter is like a mini-sermon with an altar call at the end, and some may find this off-putting. However, this is the ministry of Billy Graham, unwilling that any should perish . What a wonderful, uplifting way to start my New Year's reading!

Having seen an angel myself , I can assure readers this is a real experience. This book allowed me to find my way back to God. My interest and fascination with theology and specifically angels, brought me to this book. This book is an excellent reference of the most pertinent Scripture that allowed me to come back to my Christian faith and ask God for forgiveness of my sins against Him. A posthumous thank you to Reverend Graham for his dedication to our Lord and to helping those like me, find their way back to Him.

Except for the Bible, I love this book better than any one I've ever read. It has Bible verses throughout it, so you can read the scriptures for yourself , to show what the Bible says about angels. You will feel the presence of God and his protective angels, as you ready it. You will be overtaken with joy and thankfulness to God for His amazing love and grace. After a couple of friends read my book, it is going into my collection of books to leave to one of our heirs. If you have never thought about or believed in angels, I encourage you to buy this book. I promise you that you will not be sorry. When I first got it, I read 48 pages before I could lay it down. I truly believe you will love it.

I see some people complain about how short this book is. I think that’s the beauty of it. It gets to the point in terms that new investors or people who find investing confusing could understand. I bought a copy for my young adult children. At that age, there’s no way I would have sat down and read a book like The Bogleheads Guide to Investing (another excellent book). I have friends on the verge of retiring and they are paralyzed with the thought of what to do with their money. This would be any excellent book for them as well. I went from an advisor who had me in 21 different funds and charged 1% plus the expense ratio of the fund, to 3 fund portfolio that even I can manage on my own. I highly recommend this book.

Taylor Larimore is affectionately known as the King of the Bogleheads, he has a lifetime of experience and made all the mistakes along the way so we don't have to. Taylor was born in 1924 so needless to say, he has a huge arsenal of experience that will benefit every person who aspires to have wealth in their retirement years and for those in the accumulation phase who want to build wealth along the way. He has read hundreds of books and has tried what works and what doesn't (in short, Taylor did all the work for us). Along the way, Taylor befriend John "Jack" Bogle who is a living legend in the investment world and beyond. Jack and Taylor are definitely cut from the same cloth. They both are selfless people who rather benefit society than enrich themselves. Although Jack Bogle has more wealth than most of us will ever have, if he decided to take profits from Vanguard, he will probably be one of the richest people in the world along with Warren Buffett and Bill Gates, but instead, Jack decided to structure Vanguard in such a way that the profits came back to us average folks. Taylor realized how much he gained from Jack's creation (the "Index Fund") and calls his home in Miami "The House that Jack Built". Taylor is one of us. A working man who accomplished many success in his life and throughout his working years, saved enough to retire without worry due to the 3 fund portfolio. Taylor's 3 fund portfolio will work at any wealth level and the simple but elegant solution will give you a worry free investment life and a worry-free retirement. Imagine not having to worry about retirement in your golden years. Once you get the message of the 3 fund portfolio, you will be able to ignore the stock market and get on with your life. For those of us (including myself) who really hate long winded investment books that give the average retail investor too much information and not enough real life action steps, fear not, Taylor gave us a ton of information in a small and readable book. It is exactly what the average person needs to become a successful investor without needing a business degree to get through it. Thank you Taylor for giving all of us average folks the 3 fund portfolio and this great little book on how to implement it. Also, thank you for being the person you are and teaching us what took you many years to learn. And as always, I'm proud to call myself a Boglehead. I've tried to get them to read it, but most have no interest in investing; their eyes glaze over at the thought of 200 or so pages. Hopefully this simplified version will be more palatable. I mourn in silence every time someone gleefully tells me that they have just bought a fantastic annuity with their life's savings...

The author presents an iron clad case for the Three Fund Portfolio (3FP) which I have personally implemented for myself. This book backs up everything I have learned about the 3FP and more! Taylor Larimore is to be complimented for presenting the material in a short, simple, and understandable format. Those just starting out and seasoned investors alike will love this book.

I have been using a two-fund US portfolio with the Dollar-Cost-Averaging strategy since the late 1980's: Vanguard 500 Index fund and Vanguard GNMA fund. The book, "Value Averaging", by Micheal Edleson, illustrates the viability of the buy-and-hold value averaging strategy using Monte Carlo Simulation, which I adopted since the early 1990's.Bogleheads' three-fund portfolio is broader with less risk than my two-fund US portfolio. I bought one copy each of this book for my nieces and nephews especially because this book is short and sweet and right to the point for the impatient millenniums. Hope they will enjoy their retirement just like I am enjoying mine now!

The book is short and simple, but as we know that is the master key. If you're an experience investor you may not learn something new but its worth a refresher and reassurance that you're still on the right track. This is a great addition to the Bogleheads series of investment books, and a book I will lend out for others to enjoy and read again myself.

I agree with the negative reviews that this book is more or less a 17-hour infomercial but it does have helpful tips or suggestions mixed in occasionally, and some of them are real gems which is why I still liked this book overall.This book would be so much better if it focused purely on the science and what behaviors can be modified with actionable tasks/steps people can take (i.e. changing the questions they ask themselves, writing goals on paper, joining support groups)The authors concept is this: Spend thousands getting your brain scanned, then spend hundreds on supplements he sells for your special kind of brain, and join a church.That last part is true and helpful--not necessarily joining a church but forming bonds and strengthening human connection. Have a support system.Of course changing your diet will help too, as most of his supplements work largely because of the forced dietary change.

If you purchase this book you will be hounded with emails to buy his overpriced brain vitamins. The entire book is about making your brain better by using his overpriced supplements, nothing more. Many pictures of brain scans and how he cures people through his supplements but nothing on how to make your life better on your own. Very boring and hard read. I cannot grasp all the positive reviews. He shows brain scan pictures and how after taking his vitamins the scan looks better then says if you cant afford a brain scan go to my website and take the two minute survey and it will tell you what combination of his vitamins to purchase and take. A TWO MINUTE SURVEY IS AS GOOD AS A BRAIN SCAN FOR A DIAGNOSIS? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Not to mention it advised me to take vitamins well over a hundred bucks a month. Do yourself a favor and skip this one.

I have to admit that I was disappointed, I am surprised there were so many positive reviews!I enjoyed the science and review of brain neurophysiology in the book and the prospect of actually mapping progression/regression in brain health by taking a WebNeuro test as an alternative to the expensive SPECT scan. The book referenced Dr. Amen's "multiple" websites in which you can purchase the on-line WebNeuro test (important to know which program to follow based on the 'type' of brain you have), purchase the results and recommended program of the 'free' on-online ADD test, purchase his on-line training program, and purchase the very expensive (reportedly "very important") and multiple supplements! There is a free personalized report sent by Dr. Amen is based on an on-line test that depicts which one of the 16 brain types you are, which is not even discussed in this book! The self-help available in the book (and on the free on-line report) is not new...mental exercises (I do like Suduko!), positive thinking, meditation, clean eating, and exercise.

Reading this book felt like panning for gold during the gold rush. I would like to preface that I am not a psychology expert, but I am a psychology nerd and I enjoyed this book.I was immediately hooked by Daniel Amen’s life-changing proclaimations about his SPECT research, however I soon came to realize he’d refer me back to his other online material that required more monetary investment. Like what many other readers have mentioned, Dr. Amen heavily advertises his other resources throughout his book. Being the curious person that I am, I looked up how much a scan would cost ($3,500 and their clinic does not accept insurance). Fighting back the urge to get a scan, you can still utilize this book. I think the book offers various nuggets of knowledge, but you have to look for it in the river of text. I gained great understanding of the brain—prefrontal cortex, limbic system, basal ganglia, anterior cingulate cortex, temporal lobe—and how deficiencies in these areas may affect your brain. He also suggests remedies to these issues in an organized and concise method plan that Dr. Amen created. He offers both medicinal and natural ways to aid under or over performing areas in the brain, which I find extremely helpful since I believe in a more holistic approach.I’d say 20% of the book is comprised of educational content, 50% of patient testimonies/stories, 25% SPECT imaging explainations and the last 5% to self glorification.

Excellent resource! Very practical and inspirational information. And for the people who say that this is a giant infomercial, they're missing the gist of it. The idea is that there are things you can do to improve your life. You can start now. You could improve your sleep, and start to exercise. You can put better foods into your body. You can improve your moods. Taking better care of yourself will improve your relationships. The idea behind the book is that you can take control of your neurological health, improve current conditions, and prevent future neurological issues. There is science to back this up. In doing so, you'll likely improve your health, your longevity, the quality of your life. You don't have to buy Dr. A's supplements. Fish oil and phosphotidyl choline and B vitamins and such are all available from a variety of sources. I have used this book with a young client. He's very bright. As he enters middle school, he has gobbled up this book like you wouldn't believe! This book is empowering him to make smarter choices about what he eats, how he engages with others, what he does when he has negative thoughts. I appreciate that there are resources like this to empower not only adults, but also young people. People need to know that they can make lasting and significant changes to their health! There is such a push for pharmaceutical remedies. But your health is in ***your own hands.*** This book has the science, experience, and research to prove it. Thank you, Dr. Amen and colleagues!

This book was more than disappointing. It is basically a sales pitch for you to buy into Dr Daniel Amen's programs. It certainly was not worth the price. This book is his infomercial...with a price attached.
